An arborist report is a valuable tool when a tree needs to be removed, trimmed, or preserved on a property. Each county has set forth requirements for information…
A tree can be a valuable asset to a residential home , business, or municipality. They can supply environmental beauty, cooling shade, soil supporting roots,…
Bay Arborist is a West Contra Costa County business located in El Sobrante.
Owner Tom Arringtonhas been working with trees for over 25 years and has been a ISA Certified Arborist since 1996. Competent as a climber and as an arborist report writer, Tom’s main focus is to preserve the natural beauty of trees in the Bay Area’s urban landscape. “Urban landscapes are tough because young trees get planted in spaces where they can’t reach full maturity. Trees can obstruct a neighbors view or hang over roof tops filling gutters with leaves. Economic conditions exist in areas where trees do not receive the necessary services needed to maintain good health. A lot of times the trimming that is performed on a young tree disfigures it for life.”
Growing up in the El Sobrante valley, Tom has witnessed first hand the spread of urban development and the efforts by the townspeople to keep land areas protected and “green”. The Bay Area is one of the few places where about one-third of the region is designated as open space, from small city parks to lands stretching thousands of acres. And now with climate change hovering the SF Bay Area, the urban landscape is still in a flux of change.
Bay Arborist customers requests are always finished to their exact specifications and the standards of the International Society of Arboriculture are firmly upheld. Bay Arborist offers a personal commitment to helping home and commercial property owners obtain beauty and long lasting health for their trees.

• Dear Mr. Arrington,
“Thank you for your wonderful work. It was a pleasure doing business with you”.
Thanks for your help again.
Combination of the pictures we took and the report you wrote convinced the county that we don’t even need a tree permit and I can cut those trees. This saves me time and money. Thanks again for your favor. If I need a good arborist again for my future projects, I will definitely call you again.
• Tom, Thank you and Maricio for the excellent job and information about all the trees you removed and pruned. I will be calling again and highly recommend your service to anyone I hear talking about the need for a very professional arborist.
