Bay Arborist is a West Contra Costa County based business located in El Sobrante. Owner Tom Arrington has been working with trees for over 20 years and has been a ISA Certified Arborist since 1996. Competent as a climber and as an arborist report writer, Tom’s main focus is to preserve the natural beauty of trees in the Bay Area’s urban landscape. “Urban landscapes are tough because young trees get planted in spaces where they can’t reach full maturity. Trees can obstruct a neighbors view or hang over roof tops filling gutters with leaves. Economic conditions exist in areas where trees do not receive the necessary services needed to maintain good health. A lot of times the trimming that is performed on a young tree disfigures it for life.”
Growing up in the El Sobrante valley, Tom has witnessed first hand the spread of urban development and the efforts by the townspeople to keep land areas protected and “green”. The Bay Area is one of the few places where about one-third of the region is designated as open space, from small city parks to lands stretching thousands of acres. And now with climate change hovering the SF Bay Area, the urban landscape is still in a flux of change.
Bay Arborist customers requests are always finished to their exact specifications and the standards of the International Society of Arboriculture are firmly upheld. Bay Arborist offers a personal commitment to helping home and commercial property owners obtain beauty and long lasting health for their trees.
